i have completed units 406 & 407 but seem to be really struggling to decide what unit 408 requires any guidance would be gratfully recieved

From what i understand the requirements of this unit should be picked up by identifiying the mitigation you put in your assessment to reduce the risk rating.

407 and 408 are the full risk assessment process split into two.

Was just wondering if anyone could better explain the difference between safe work systems and risk control measures...or give a working example...thanks!

Dave, did you manage to complete this unit? I too am struggling. Particularly as the guidance refers to the cost benefits and evidence of benefit from implementation of additional controls.

can anyone else advise on how they successfully completed this unit??

did your company benefit from the new controls you put in ???

ie) all the new sexy eye protectors and the suncream for the roadworkers in the summer ?? did they benefit ??

ie) were ther eany illnesses?? claims from sunburn?? etc

is the company better off to when they didnt supply them with anything and had loads of claims from skin cancer ??
